After the Lottery -- How to Hold a Place for Your Child at Hatikvah

AFTER YOU HAVE BEEN OFFERED A SEAT AT HATIKVAH:

1. Please fill out and return all the forms in the enrollment packet.

2. Send us copies of two forms of proof of residency. One must be either a property tax bill or a lease, and the other must be a utility bill.

3. Please also send us a copy of your child's birth certificate.

4. Register at your local public school (if you have not done so already) and request a transfer card.

FURTHER INFORMATION ABOUT TRANSFER CARDS:

Families that have Previously Registered By Writing "Charter School" on their Enrollment Form
If your family already registered with the East Brunswick School District and the words "Charter School" were placed on the enrollment form, then a transfer card is not needed. The East Brunswick School District enrollment form will be sufficient for the state and your child is registered to attend Hatikvah and qualifies for busing, if applicable.

Families that have Children Currently Enrolled at a Local East Brunswick Public School
If your child currently attends East Brunswick public school, please go to your child's current school and request a transfer card. Once you receive the transfer card, please forward that on to Hatikvah at P.O. Box 7312 East Brunswick, NJ, 08816.

Families that Have Not Registered Yet at a Local East Brunswick Public School
If your family has not registered for Hatikvah, please go to your local East Brunswick School and request an enrollment form, or you can download a registration form at www.ebnet.org, and inform the staff that you are enrolling for Hatikvah. The staff will provide you with an enrollment packet if you do not already have one, and they may issue you a transfer card. Please note that the district has been issuing transfer cards to students who attended an East Brunswick public school the previous school year. If you do receive a transfer card please send that card on to us. (Even if you do not receive a transfer card, the enrollment form with East Brunswick School District will be sufficient for our purposes.) Please provide us with any copies of forms that you receive from the school.

The best way to send us these documents is to e-mail scanned versions of them to registration@hatikvahcharterschool.com. You could also fax them to 732-698-0675 or send a hard copy to this address: Hatikvah International Academy Charter School, P.O. Box 7312, East Brunswick, NJ, 08816.

You must submit all of these documents in order for your child to remain eligible for a seat at Hatikvah.
